Patni Computer Systems Improves Network Performance and Reduces Operational Expenses with Peribit Networks
Peribit PeriSphere architecture improves network response times by reducing congestion and latency on the Patni WAN and accelerates performance for remote connectivity, messaging and web based applications
BANGALORE, INDIA – 18th April 2005 – Peribit Networks, a leader in application delivery over the WAN, announced that Patni Computer Systems Ltd., one of India’s leading IT Consulting and Services providers, has recently deployed the Peribit application optimisation solution in India and the USA. The benefits of the solution include improvement in the end user performance of critical applications including remote customer connectivity, email and web based applications.
“Peribit has improved the response times of our critical web based and email applications,” said executive vice president Mr. Satish Joshi. Adding to this, Mr. Ajay Soni – Sr. Manager, IT said, “The Peribit solution enabled us to significantly reduce the bandwidth traveling across our WAN, while also solving the latency issues impacting some key applications.”
The implementation of the application comes after a comprehensive vendor analysis and evaluation which helped shortlist Peribit Networks. Working with Peribit’s Partner, Apara Enterprise Solutions, Patni then deployed the Peribit PeriSphere™ architecture and specifically Peribit Packet Flow Acceleration (PFA) technology to resolve network latency. In addition, Peribit Molecular Sequence Reduction (MSR) had been deployed to remove repetitive data sequences traveling on the WAN and Peribit Quality of Service (QoS) to prioritise and manage application traffic flows. The deployment resulted in improved network performance by reducing network congestion and latency while reducing operational expenses on expensive international connections.
